Performance Coaching
For me, change means more than simply understanding a problem.
I am a Heilpraktiker for Psychotherapy, certified hypnotherapist, and professional musician.
At first glance, these fields may seem quite different. In my work, however, I continually see how closely thoughts, emotions, physical responses, and learned patterns are connected.
As a musician, I have spent many years exploring what happens to us under pressure: why something that feels natural and reliable in a familiar setting can suddenly become difficult when it really matters. As a therapist, I encounter a similar principle in a different context. We may understand very clearly why we react in a certain way – without that understanding alone necessarily changing the reaction.
This experience has strongly influenced the way I work therapeutically.

My Approach
I don't work according to a rigid formula, and I don't see hypnosis as a way of simply “programming away” a problem.
Depending on your individual needs, I combine hypnotic methods with psychotherapeutic work, conversation, and body-oriented awareness. I am interested not only in what someone would like to change, but also in how a response developed, what continues to maintain it, and what possibilities for change are already present.
It is important to me not to reduce people to a problem or a diagnosis. I see therapy as a collaborative process in which we work together to discover what is helpful.
Music & Performance
Alongside my therapeutic work, I have worked for many years as a professional musician and instrumental teacher.
I studied tuba and bass trombone in Wisconsin and tuba in Cologne, completing my studies with the Konzertexamen in tuba. Since then, I have worked in a wide range of professional musical settings, including orchestral and opera productions, chamber music, film music, and Klezmer, as well as teaching brass students.
This experience forms the foundation of my particular focus on stage fright, performance pressure, and the psychological and physical demands of performing music.
